Cleaning
Bowls and bottles should be cleaned every day and sterilised once a week.
The cage should be spot cleaned everyday, if using towels and fleece, just pick out their poops. If you notice a spot in the cage getting heavilly soiled, introduce a litter tray with megazorb in it. Full clean out once a week with towel and fleece pads.
If you're using newspaper, a full clean out will be required every day.

We line all our wooden cages with coroplast (corregated plastic). I would recommend doing the same as it makes things far easier to clean.

The process of cleaning out the cage:

Be sure to remove Piggys and toys, hidys, bowls, etc.

1. Empty out the bedding with a dust pan into a waste bin lined with a large plastic bag or bin liner. If using fleece pull out and shake any stray poop into the bin then put in the washing machine. We use the heavily soiled baby wash cycle on our washing machine.

2. Make sure everything is out before spraying. Spray the sides and bottom of the cage with your disinfectant Leave for 15 minutes then rinse well. If you dont have any disinfectant use a spray bottle filled with 1/2 plain white vinegar and 1/2 water. Then just wipe clean.

3. Replace the bedding. It is wise to have at least doubles of everything.

Have a good snuggle with your Piggys before putting them back in.

You could take this time to sit bowls in hot water to let them soak, then give them a good scrub and dry before putting them back in the cage with fresh nuggets.
