Cavy Couture Donation Month

Lets have a little questionaire to sort the Wheekers from the Squeekers

Do you buy your piggys more things than you buy yourself?
If you answered yes then continue to the next question.

Do your piggys get more than 1 new item a month?
If you answered yes then continue to the next question.

Do you spend every spare minute on the internet reseaching how to make your Guinea Pigs lives much better?
If you answered yes then continue to the next question.

Lastly, do you wish you could help a rescue but cannot find the time, or extra money!?!
If you answered yes please read on.

A couple of months ago I was approached by a lovely lady called Amy, she makes lovely cosys, cuddle cups, cage liners, lap blankets, tunnels, cubes, pockets, cards, wash bags and even uses the left over cut offs of fabric bedding for mice and rats!!!! So instead of throwing them away and filling up our landfills she sells them on to make super soft bedding for our tiny friends. She told me she could help us with some cosys, beds and such. We discussed what would benifit us in the rescue and even made some changes to the rescue section of her website to benifit us. How lovey is that?

Well anyway, August is our month for donations. Anything you spend we will receive 10% in goods. August is a special month in this house as its Dans birthday, you could make this month EXTRA SPECIAL for us, by spoiling your furry family members and ours at no extra cost.

To show Amys hard work and dedication to rescues, In june she sold £1,500 worth of products to costumers so Cavy Corner Guinea Sanctuary was blessed with a donation of items worth £150! What a lucky load of piggys to receive beds, blankets, tunnels and so on.

Here is the link, have a great time on the site http://www.cavycouture.co.uk/helpingrescues.html

On a seperate note, If you would like to donate cosys or beds to us but you just cannot afford it this month there is a rescue section with us on it so that you can pick an item and it will be sent to us direct

Thank you for reading,
Kayleigh, Dan and the gang.
Results for Hands for Hutches

The Hands for Hutches event raised £25 which will go towards building a custom 6 foot hutch.

Hands for Hutches

This is our Christmas event and will be running from the 20th October 2010 till the 15th January 2011, so plenty of time to get creative!

This will be our 2nd Christmas running Popcorn Paradise Animal Rescue. The event this Christmas is called "Hands for Hutches". We are aiming to raise as much money as we possibly can to make this Christmas a very special one for the animals who will spend Christmas with us at Popcorn Paradise Animal Rescue. The money raised this Christmas will be put towards building 6ft cages for the rescue.

Where will the money raised go?

The money will go directly into building cages for our animals within the rescue. We need to raise £5,250 to make all the cages that we can fit in around the walls.
It costs around £100 for the materials to build one cage, it then costs a further £150 to furnish the cage with cage liners for the Guinea Pigs which makes cage cleaning easier for me.

What can you do?

So here is what you can do to help our animals.

The idea is to draw around your hands on a piece of paper and fill it with either 10p, 20p, 50p, £1 or £2 coins. You can then colour in your hand with any design you want and send it to us along with whatever money you could fit into your picture. You can of course enter as many hands as you wish, it's all for a good cause after all. Just to give you more of an insight as to what to do, here is me demonstrating.

What you need

Pens, paper and money

How to start

Place your hand on the paper and with the pen draw around your hand(s)

Then fill your drawn hands with what ever kind of coins you wish. (I ran out of pound coins!)

Then colour/draw on your hand pictures

Who can help raise money?

This is a great event to help get your children and other members of your family involved in, and it also helps to raise awareness of our animal rescue and what we do.

What do you get from helping Popcorn Paradise Animal Rescue, this Christmas?

Not only will you get the warm fuzzy feeling in your tummy and the sheer joy from helping an animal in need, you will also get a chance to have your picture displayed on our website for all to see!

We will choose the 10 best pictures and display them on our events page for as long as the site is running (forever hopefully). We will choose 2 pictures from each age group, so please make sure you add your names and ages!

Ideally we ask you to count the money that fits on to your hands drawing and send us the money via paypal/bank transfer as this is safer and more eco friendly. You can then email us your picture and this will be saved and put into a folder on my computer ready for the 15th of January.

Please send donations via paypal, making the payment to novakay2000@hotmail.co.uk Please select personal and gift.

However if you still wish to donate via post then we do accept cheques.
We do ask that you try to conseal your donation if you send loose change, by wrapping the money into a tight bag and then using a padded envelope.

Please email me on kayleighanddaniel@popcornparadiseanimalrescue.co.uk
for a secure postal address to send the pictures and donations to.
Every time you place an ad on Preloved via this link you help to raise money towards the care of the rescue animals.
