Sexing
Bucks usually hit puberty at around 5 months.
The testicles are flesh coloured and above the penis. In some breeds the testicles are covered in fur. If your unsure just by having a look, then use your fingers to feel for "sacks" just above the penis. Testicles descend at roughly 10 weeks of age.
If your rabbit is young or has been neutered, you will need to examine the genitals. Gently place a finger to each side and lightly apply pressure down. Examine what pops up. Sometimes the penis pops right out. Other times, the penis does not appear, but you see a tube with a small opening at the top. Even though this is a round opening, this is a boy.
The sweat gland is located in between two bits of skin either side of his penis. These need cleaning regularly.
The best age for Bucks to be spayed is 5 months of age.
